A new Nicolas Winding Refn directed series Copenhagen Cowboy is headed to Netflix soon.
In December 2022, Netflix will finally release the long-teased project Copenhagen Cowboy.
Lene Borglum who has worked with Nicolas on many films, including Only God Forgives and The Neon Demon, is listed as the producer for Copenhagen Cowboy.
The upcoming series marks the filmmaker's debut production in 15 years in his native Denmark. The series will release in its original language Danish, but it will be available in other dubbed languages as well.
The series follows a mysterious story of young protagonist Miu who escapes from Copenhagen's criminal underworld for a new beginning after a lifetime of servitude.
Netflix has not confirmed the release date of the upcoming series, but it is expected that the series will arrive in early January 2024.
The starring cast of the series includes Angela Bundalovic as Miu, Fleur Frilund, Lola Corfixen, Andreas Lykke Jørgensen, Jason Hendel-Forssell, Li Ii Zhang, Dragana Milutinovic, Mikael Bertelsen, Mads Brügger, Ramadan Huseini. Andreas Lykke Jørgensen and Per Thiim Thim.
