Glen Powell’s The Running Man has just received it early reviews from the critics, who got to see the movie one week before its official release.
Directed by Edgar Wright, the sci-fi adventure revolves around Ben Richards, who participates in a deadly game show called "The Running Man", in which he fights to keep himself alive till the end of the game while hunters try to find and kill him.
The upcoming new flick is based on Stephen King’s 1982 dystopian thriller novel of the same name.
Critics, in an early screening of the movie, created a hype about the film calling it a “total blast.”
Andrew Korpan from ClutchPoints, while sharing his point of view, said that it floored him. He said that Wright "trimmed the weakest parts of the book and even took swings and improved upon it".
Meanwhile, Collider’s Perri Nemiroff emphasized on how 2025 is turning out to be Stephen King years with back to back amazing releases like The Life of Chuck, It: Welcome to Derry, The Long Walk and now The Running Man.
She also extensively spoke about the great work done by the director, who made sure he delivers a “faithful adaptation.”
WSVN 7News’ Kathy Paz said about the film, “The Running Man is an action-packed thrill ride. Heart-pumping and adrenaline-including, from start to finish. A fun watch that’s also full of heart.”

Powell's new project is slated to come out in theatres on November 7.
