King Charles decides to skip Easter Message

King Charkes will not issue an Easter message this year, reported GB News citing Buckingham Palace on Thursday.

"GB News understands that it is not a message that the Palace releases every year, unlike its annual Christmas speech," the outlet reported.

According to the outlet, the king's mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, did not frequently issue an Easter message either.

It said the monarch's decision marks a difference from last year, when King Charles III  issued a message on Maundy Thursday.

Meanwhile, King Charles and his wife Queen Camilla  attended the Royal Maundy Service at St Asaph Cathedral.

The palace said "This year’s Royal Maundy Service took place at St Asaph Cathedral, North Wales. This marked the first time the Service had been held in Wales since 1982 and the second time in its history."

During the service, The King presented the Royal Maundy gifts to approximately 77 men and 77 women from Wales and other dioceses across the UK.
