Aimee Lou Wood recently opened about her struggles she faced while filming an upcoming project alongside Oscar-winning actress, Angelina Jolie.
The 31-year-old is currently busy working on Anxious People, an American comedy based on Fredrick Backman’s 2019 novel.
While sharing about the behind-the-scenes experience, the White Lotus famed star revealed that she faced a lot of trouble while shooting an emotional scene in the film as a number of crew members were shouting at her.
Wood expressed her frustration saying, “I’ve spent years feeling unable to say anything like that for fear of seeming argumentative – but now I feel like I can take ownership of what I need to thrive, and tell people what won’t work for me.
During her time on-set, Aimee felt like Angelina was a protective figure for her as she noticed whenever she spoke up for herself, the Maleficent actress would appreciate her.
“When I spoke up, all I could see was Angelina giving me a thumbs up”, Aimee told Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
The BAFTA winner, while praising Jolie, said, “She’s possibly the most famous woman ever, but she’s so normal. I’m fairly certain she drives herself to set each day.”
Besides Aimee and Angelina, Anxious People will also star Jason Segel, Carol Kane and Stephaine Allynne.
