Jennifer Lawrence makes exciting announcement with pal Emma Stone

Jennifer Lawrence shared thrilling news about collaborating with her long-time friend Emma Stone for a new film about temperamental diva Miss Piggy.

The iconic character is part of Muppets ensemble and was created in 1970s by Bonnie Erickson and Frank Oz. Her first on-screen appearance came in 1974 film, The Muppet’s Wizard of Oz.

In an appearance on the latest podcast episode of Las Culturistas, the Oscar winner made the announcement.

"I don’t know if I can announce this, but I am going to … Emma Stone and I are producing a Miss Piggy movie and Cole [Escola] is writing it," the Die, My Love star said.

The film, which is in early development in Disney will mark Lawrence and Stone’s first time collaboration.

The podcast host Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, also asked The Hunger Games actress if the two friends would star in it to. "Think so. We have to… It’s f---ed up [that we haven’t done a movie together]," she said.

The duo first became friends via text before 2015, introduced by their mutual friend Woody Harrelson. They later met in person after a year of daily texting and has since then continued a strong supporting bond with each other.

Stone and Lawrence has currently starred in individual projects,Bugonia and Die, My Love respectively.

Yorgos Lanthimos'Bugonia is now running in theatres, meanwhile, Die, My Love is slated for release on November 7.
