MUMBAI: Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi starrer 'Azhar', which is a biopic on the eventful life of famous yesteryear cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, seems to have attracted a legal trouble days before it's theatrical release, reported Times of India on Friday.

According to the report it is believed that Sangeeta Bijlani is all set to sue the makers of the film because she feels that her character, which is being essayed by Nargis Fakhri in the film, has been portrayed in a bad light and is shown to be a home-breaker.

Although Sangeeta hasn't seen the film, she plans to watch it and if she finds that the manner in which her character has been portrayed in the film is objectionable then she will take legal action against the film's makers.

Another popular cricketer Manoj Prabhakar, who is said to have been the key witness in Azharuddin's match fixing scam, is planning to take legal action against the makers of 'Azhar.' Apparently, Manoj feels that the film is a biopic on Azharuddin and hence, would portray him in good light.

Prabhakar feels that even though the match fixing episode has been retained in the film, chances are that Azharuddin might not been shown as a culprit but a victim and his character might be shown in bad light.

Prabhakar has spoken to the makers and have asked them to arrange a screening for him but the makers seem to have turned a deaf ear to his requests and that has compelled him to take a legal action against them.

Manoj is not the only cricketer who wants to have a preview arranged for him. Veteran cricketers Kapil Dev, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Ravi Shastri too have asked the makers to show them the film before its release because they too are concerned about how their characters have been portrayed in the film.
