PESHAWAR: Information Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mian Iftikhar Hussain Sunday said the concerned authorities had advance information of yesterday's attack on Peshawar airport.
"The terror attempt was foiled through a well-coordinated plan and one of the terrorists was arrested alive," the minister claimed while talking to Geo News here.
He said ten suicide attackers were involved in the last night's terror bid at the airport. Five of them were killed in a security action last night while five others managed to run and hide in a nearby locality, he added.
Iftikhar Hussain said due to effective picketing by the security forces, the terrorists did not get a chance to come out and they had to spend the night in an under-construction house.
In the morning when labourers reached there, terrorists demanded shawls and vehicles to them, he said and added that police delayed the action so as to avert any major loss.
