KHAR: A tribesman sustained injuries in Charmang area in Nawagai tehsil in Bajaur Agency when the militants operating from Afghanistan’s eastern Kunar province fired into the Pakistani territory, tribal sources said on Saturday.
The sources said that the man identified as Amir Khan was taken to the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Khar. He was stated to be out of danger.
They said that the Afghanistan-based Pakistani militants targetted civilian population near the Pak-Afghan border to panic them.
Amir Khan was also injured in the similar spate of firing into Pakistan’s border areas.
The militants loyal to the fugitive leader of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Maulana Fazlullah are operating from eastern Afghanistan, where they have built sanctuaries.
Islamabad has time and again asked Kabul to take action against the militants staging attacks inside Pakistan.
