Two isolation ward patients test positive
NANKANA SAHIB: Two patients of the isolation ward of the DHQ hospital, Nankana, tested positive for coronavirus here on Friday. Abdur Rasheed of Mohallah Kumaranwala Mandi Faizabad and his wife Kishwar Bibi were admitted to the DHQ hospital on Sunday night and their blood samples were dispatched to the laboratory and they tested positive for the virus. When contacted, CEO Health Dr Shakeel Ahmed confirmed that both the patients tested positive. Meanwhile, spokesman for the district administration Chaudhry Tasawar said committees of police and health department are constituted and the area is being cordoned off. He said both the coronavirus patients recently came from Saudi Arabia after performing Umrah. He said family members of affectees and the people who remained in contact with them would be put in quarantine and their tests would also be conducted.
