This is to draw the attention of the authorities to the plight of residents of Siddique Village Malir Halt, Karachi. The section between Malir No 15 and the main road of Rafa-e-Aam Society, beside the railway track, has been turned into a dumping area. The area which is opposite to the railway crossing of Siddique Village’s main exit to Kala Board is also painting an awful picture. Thousands of people are irritated by the bad odour of unattended garbage that has engulfed the entire area.
The relevant authorities are requested to look into this situation and take immediate action to clean up garbage.

Piles of garbage in every corner of streets in Rawalpindi show that Pakistanis lack civic sense. Many people dispose of garbage near waste bins instead of throwing it in the bin. The government facilitates people by constructing parks, but it is sad to see how people carelessly throw plastic wrappers and empty bottles in these places.
We complain about the government’s dismal performance every now and then, but we are not ready to accept our responsibilities as citizens. What are we teaching to our younger generation?
