LAHORE: Coronavirus has led to the postponement of the series of the Pakistan A to Sri Lanka.
Pakistan A were to tour Sri Lanka for three one-day matches and two four-day matches in June but due to the pandemic, the PCB decided to postpone it.
An official of the PCB said that the series was being rescheduled for July but the Indian team’s tour of Sri Lanka for three one-day and as many T20 games made it difficult for Sri Lanka to host Pakistan.
“The PCB had decided to send a squad of emerging cricketers to Sri Lanka in June to prepare for future challenges.
After the series was postponed due to corona, three one-day and two four-day matches were to be rescheduled for July but the Indian team’s tour of Sri Lanka meant it could not go ahead.
On the other hand, preparations are being made to hold the Lankan Premier League from July 30 to August 22. According to sources, the Indians will play from July 13 to 25, after which the LPL will start.
