Regularising employees: Summary to be moved to CM, says Raja Basharat
LAHORE:Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat has said that it had been decided to move a summary to the chief minister to make all the contract employees of the law department permanent as, at present, almost all the employees are on contract.
The secretary briefed the minister about the department’s problems and performance. Raja Basharat directed that in the light of the Supreme Court instructions, work of updating the laws of Punjab should be accelerated. He revealed that funds would be allocated in next fiscal year for construction of separate buildings of Advocate General office in Rawalpindi and Solicitor’s office in Lahore. He directed that the official website and digital media of the department be regularly updated and the performance of all sections of the department be improved.
