Minister says law, order has improved in Balochistan

MARDAN: Pakhtunkhwa Milli Aawami Party (PkMAP) leader and Minister for Information Balochistan Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal on Sunday said that the law and order situation in Balochistan has improved.

Talking to the reporters at the Mardan Press Club, he said though 100 percent improvement had not been recorded in law and order, the situation was satisfactory now.

Mukhtiyar Khan Yousafzai, PkMAP provincial president, Member National Assembly (MNA) Abdul Qahar Wadan and other leader were also present on the occasion.  He added that everyone can move in Quetta and other cities in the province at night without any fear.

He said that the provincial government increased the education budget by 24 percent. “We established four new universities and upgrade two colleges to the university level,” he claimed.

He said that the government identified 900 ghost schools and 700 ghost teachers. He criticised the federal minister Khwaja Asif for his alleged statement about the security of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan gas pipeline to Taliban in Afghanistan. “It’s interference in Afghanistan’s internal affairs,” he said.
