TB awareness moot held

BUREWALA: An awareness seminar on World TB Day was organised by Mercy Corps at the Resource Centre of DHQ Hospital, Vehari on Wednesday.

Chairing the moot, MNA Tahir Iqbal said the government was taking all possible steps to eradicate TB. Additional Deputy Commissioner Ashfaq-ur-Rehman Khan said the environment must be kept clean and everything has been provided by the administration in all levels of hospitals to control TB.

Health CEO Dr Anjum Iqbal said TB diagnosis is available in all hospitals across the district.

He said tests and medicines were free of cost and facilities were being extended to the patients through one window operation at DHQ hospital.

Doctors, paramedics, staff nurses and LHVs also participated in the seminar. In the last, an awareness walk was also organised.
