16 outlaws including five drug-pushers held
Islamabad : Islamabad Police have arrested 16 outlaws including five drug pushers from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics, wine, snatched mobile phone, gambling money and weapons from them, a police spokesman said.
Following directions and guidance of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar khan, police spokesperson said that renewed efforts are underway to curb bootlegging and drug peddling activities in the city. DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed has conducted special meetings with heads of police stations and directed them to accelerate efforts against anti-social elements.
On a tip off, SP (Industrial-Area) Zubair Ahmed Shaikh constituted a team to raid at a distillery in the area. This team under the supervision of SDPO Zohaib Nusrullah Ranjaha including SHO I-Area police station Sub-Inspector Khurram Shahzad along with other conducted a raid at sector H-9 and arrested a notorious bootleggers namely Ishq Masih and recovered 102 bottles wine from him. While police team arrested accused Faisal Masih and recovered 12 bottles wine from him.
Further-More On a tip off, SP (Rural) Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted a team under the supervision of SDPO Koral Qasim Khan Niazi including SHO koral police station Sub-Inspector Ishtaiq Shah along with other conducted a raid and arrested two notorious drug peddlers namely Hamad Raza and Zeshan and recovered 3,178 kilogram hashish from their possession.
SP (Saddar) Muhammad Omer Khan constituted a team under the supervision of SDPO Margalla Malik Abid Ikram including SHO Karachi Company Sub-Inspector Saleem Raza, ASI Haider Shah along with other arrested two member of street criminal gang namely Arsl William and Sheryar recovered nine snatched mobile phone and two pistols from their possession.
Meanwhile Sihala police team under the supervision of SHO Inspector Asjad Mehmood, SUB-Inspector Adeel Shokat along with other conducted a raid in Rawat and arrested 03 gamblers red handed and recovered gambling money and gambling tool from their possession.
Bhara kahu police arrested accused Zariab and recovered knife from him.
Karachi company police arrested two accused Haseeb and Junaid and recovered kites from their possession.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested accused Aamir Ullah and recovered 170-gram hashish from him.
Khanna police arrested accused Imtaiz Iqbal and recovered one 30-bore pistol from him.
Nilor police arrested accused Nusrat Hussain and recovered one 30-bore pistol from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
DIG (Operations) Islamabad Waqar Uddin Syed has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that Islamabad Police would also safeguard its youth from various evils like use of drugs and ensure brighter future of them.
He said that it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involve d in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
