PESHAWAR: About 10,000 candidates appeared in the University of Peshawar Aptitude Test to get admission in the BS four-year degree programme held at seven centres in Peshawar under the National Testing Service.
The candidates appeared for admission against approximately 1,500 allocated seats in the 26 different disciplines of varsity where BS programme is being offered.
Vice-Chancellor UoP Prof Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan monitored the test. He was accompanied by Registrar Dr Syed Fazl-i-Hadi, Director Admissions Prof Dr Hizbullah Khan and other officers of the University. Around 200 invigilating staff were also deployed.
Four separate categories of test ranging from Pre-Medical (UAT-PM), Pre-Engineering (UAT-PE), Computer/Commerce/General Science (UAT-CCGS) Art & Humanities (UAT-AH) were designed for the candidates seeking admission in various discipline. The result would be announced on Wednesday (September 16) and can be seen on the University’s website: www.uop.edu.pk and NTS website www.nts.org.pk .
It is pertinent to mention that the provisional merit list of the selected students would be displayed in the respective departments on September 21. It would be followed by a final merit list on September 29. Classes for the new session of BS programme will start from October 5, 2015.
