‘Tourism opportunities in Gilgit-Baltistan to be highlighted globally’
DUBAI: President Diplomat Business Club and former ambassador Javed Malik informed that international tourists are being attracted by the picturesque region of Gilgit-Baltistan and other parts of Pakistan after the country declared a safe place to visit.
Speaking at a roundtable confereance to welcome the Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan, Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman, who was on an official visit in Dubai, where international tour operators and businessmen associated with tourism and hotel industries, were holding meetings to boost the tourism business, especially in GB regions. The businessmen were briefed about the potential as well as the investment opportunities in the hydro power and mining sectors. The chief minister GB assured that the government would welcome foreign investment and would facilitate the business community.
Ambassador Javed Malik highlighted that the Gilgit-Baltistan was the entry point for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and this makes it an important region with ample opportunities for the smart investors. He further said that it was agreed to formulate a delegation of overseas Pakistanis to visit the region in the coming months.
