Accused in child murder case remanded to police

NOWSHERA: A local court on Monday remanded in police custody two accused who had allegedly killed a minor girl after abusing her.

The accused, Abdar and Rafiqul Wahab, who were caught by the locals for allegedly abusing and killing an eight-year-old (AN) in Ziarat Kaka Sahib a day earlier, were produced in a local court for obtaining their remand. The court granted a two-day physical remand of the accused to the police for further investigation. District Police Officer Kashif Zulfiqar said the specimens had been dispatched to the forensic science laboratory. Meanwhile, State Minister Ali Muhammad Khan and Member Provincial Assembly Jamsheduddin Kakakhel also visited the hujra of the victim’s family and expressed condolence to the aggrieved members. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the government was supervising the case to bring the accused to justice at the earliest.
