An unidentified man from Larkana, whose video showing him with a severe foot injury went viral in October last year, has been discharged from the Pakistan Rangers Hospital in Karachi after successful treatment.
The Rangers handed him over to the Edhi Foundation, which has been searching for his family members.
The patient is said to be mentally unstable and does not remember where his house is located.
According to a spokesperson for the Rangers, in October 2019, a video of a young man in Larkana having a serious foot injury went viral on social media.
To this, Sindh Rangers Director General Major General Omar Ahmed Bukhari took notice and sent a team of the Rangers’ doctors to Larkana.
The team provided first aid to the patient at the Rangers Hospital in Sukkur before he was shifted to Karachi for detailed medical examination and treatment. He underwent skin grafting at the hospital after a number foot surgeries.
After the young man was completely recovered, he was able to walk on his feet. Later, he was sent to the Edhi Home. According to Rangers sources, Edhi Foundation officials have been instructed to find his family.
