Police, FC & varsities Excise Dept’s defaulters

PESHAWAR: The Excise and Taxation Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has released a list of the defaulter departments that include the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, Frontier Constabulary and the top educational institutions of the province.

According to the list released by an official of the Excise Department, the outstanding amount of the KP Police in terms of token tax for the official vehicles is Rs96.5 million while the outstanding amount to be paid by the University of Agriculture is Rs12.7 million. Besides, the outstanding amount to be paid by the University of Peshawar is Rs2.7 million after they have paid Rs3.7 million recently. The University of Engineering has cleared all the tax by paying Rs9.4 million.

The outstanding amount of the Frontier Constabulary is Rs0.84 million after Rs3 million were recovered by the Excise Department.

The official said that the outstanding balance of the Peshawar Development Authority is Rs371,000. The official said that during correspondence, the police and some other departments have agreed to pay the due amount.
