PPP women wing holds Quran Khawani
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Women Wing, on Friday held a Quran Khawani for speedy recovery of the party co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari.
The party women wing provincial information secretary, Mehr Sultana, and other office-bearers participated in the Quran Khawani. The participants offered prayer for health of Zardari and stability of the country.
Mehr Sultana told the media Asif Ali Zardari was jailed for political victimisation by incumbent Prime Minister Imran Khan.
She said the masses had judged well that the promises made by PTI before general elections had proved as mere slogans. Mehr Sultana asked the government to allow Asif Ali Zardari to carry out medical treatment from personal physician. She warned that if the demand was not accepted, PPP leaders and activists would stage protests.
