CDA forms special teams to remove illegal billboards

Islamabad: Special teams of the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) have been formed to remove illegal advertisements including billboards, pylons and banners which were installed at various prominent places over the last three years. The CDA sources said the management of the authority is also likely to hold an inquiry

Islamabad: Special teams of the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) have been formed to remove illegal advertisements including billboards, pylons and banners which were installed at various prominent places over the last three years.
The CDA sources said the management of the authority is also likely to hold an inquiry into issuance of permission for installation of such illegal advertisements.
The operation has been launched in line with the directions of Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Maroof Afzal and Member Administration and Estate Amer Ali Ahmed.
In this regard, special teams have been constituted by the DMA, which are taking part in operation against the illegally installed billboards, banners and pylons in different sectors of the city. During the operation, special teams of DMA have removed different advertisement boards including billboards, banners and pylons from Sector F-6, F-7 and F-10 Marakiz.
The teams of the DMA have also carried out operation against the illegal advertisement boards and removed these boards from Expressway, Kashmir Highway and G-12 areas.
