2 attempt suicide in Pakpattan incidents

PAKPATTAN: Two people attempted suicide in separate incidents here on Tuesday.
In the first incident, Maryam Bibi, w/o Imran and a resident of Chak 21-SP, attempted suicide by taking poison over a domestic dispute. She was rushed to a hospital. In another incident, Aqeel Ahmad of Chak Abadi Tibba Sher Kot attempted suicide by swallowing poisonous pills. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
YOUTH DIES ON ROAD: A youth died in an accident near Chak 33/SP on Tuesday.
Baig Ali was on his way when suddenly his bike slipped on Kameer Road, which caused his instant death. Meanwhile, Yaseen was shot at and injured by five accused at Adda Haripur on Sahiwal Road.
MAN INJURED OVER ENMITY: A man was injured over enmity at Chak 96/D on Tuesday.
The brother of Muhammad Aslam was on his way when 10 accused including Azad Ali allegedly attacked and injured him with the help of clubs. Police have registered a case.
3 HELD WITH NARCOTICS: Police on Tuesday arrested three drug pushers and recovered charas and liquor from them in separate incidents here.
The police arrested Shahroz with a pistol and two bullets, Pervez Ahmad with 150 grams charas and Rashid Javed with eight litres wine. The police have registered cases.
DEPRIVED OF CASH: A man was deprived of cash and other valuables here on Tuesday.
Muhammad Yousaf of Chak 61-SP was on his way when some swindlers gave him intoxicated drink, which made him unconscious. Later, the accused took away cash and a cell phone from his pocket.
BOOKED: Police on Tuesday booked a man on the charge of giving shelter to a proclaimed offender.
The police raided the house of Waseem at Malka Hans to arrest PO Ghulam Nabi but he fled with the help of Waseem.
