Following the arrest of former-Prince Andrew, Buckingham Palace is said to be on high alert due to King Charles' wellbeing.

With consistent new revelations connected to disgraced Jeffrey Epstein, Charles is said to be facing serious emotional strain. Recently, the former Duke of York was also detained on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

As per Closer Magazine, palace sources suggest that constant revelations have placed enormous pressure on the monarch, who is already dealing with cancer treatment. "Charles is in shock at everything that’s coming out. And, as much as he might put on a very strong show, it’s no secret his health is a big concern."

"He’s in his late seventies and battling cancer and he’s got to contend with his allegations that his brother is mixed up with Epstein. He doesn’t have the constitution for this kind of scandal," the source added.

Charles reportedly believes that the "silver lining is that his mother isn’t here to have to face the full extent of this ugliness" with her son Andrew.

King Charles can hardly believe the fact that his younger brother Andrew is at the centre of "utterly deeply" scandal. "Day after day he’s forced to sit through drawn-out crisis meetings and listen to his aides detailing the most debauched, shocking claims that have been levelled against Andrew," the source noted.

About Charles health, insiders revealed that His Majesty is "short on sleep" and finding it impossible to focus on daily duties as Andrew's scandal just keeps dragging the monarchy down.

"It’s so unbecoming of the royal family, least of all someone as high up as his brother once was, and what’s most depressing of all is there seems to be no end in sight. Every time new documents are mentioned or someone raises the Epstein connection again, the headlines calling for the demise of the monarchy begin again," the source said.
