Three teenage friends drowned to death while bathing in the Hum Dam on Thursday, according to the Surjani police.
Following the incident, rescuers, including divers, from welfare associations reached the site and retrieved the bodies. The deceased were then taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where after completing the medico-legal formalities, their bodies were handed over to their families for their funeral and burial.
Police said the victims were identified as Alam Hanif, 16, Abid Gulab, 18, and Wasim Abdul Sattar, 19. They said Gulab and Sattar were residents of Essa Goth in the Northern Bypass area and Alam lived in Rasool Bakhsh Goth.
The officials said that the three victims were friends and had gone to the Hum Dam reservoir to have a picnic, but they drowned to death while bathing.
