Pending payments
February 19, 2019
A nationwide measles campaign was conducted in October 2018. As the campaign needed a huge human resource, apart from healthcare employees approximately 50 percent of the workers were arranged and trained from the unemployed local communities. The poor workers carried out the lengthy campaign which lasted for 15 days, including training days.
However, healthcare officials who were responsible for data entry of workers worked irresponsibly. Consequently, when the payment was released in January 2019, half of the workers couldn’t receive it as their information was incorrect. The healthcare authorities are requested to devise a mechanism to solve the problem of pending payment of thousands of workers.
