Bail plea of banned outfit workers dismissed

LAHORE
The Lahore High Court Tuesday dismissed bail applications of 12 workers of banned Hizb-ut-Tehrir for their alleged involvement in distribution of hate material and pamphlets against judiciary and Pakistan Army.
Agha Tahir and others had filed the application in the court contending that they were intentionally implicated in a false case, adding they had not committed any crime and were not involved in any illegal or unlawful activity. However, the police informed the court that they recovered written material against Pakistan Army and judiciary inciting people to stand up against the state institutions.
After hearing both sides, the judge dismissed the bail application. Those whose bail applications were dismissed included Agha Tahir, Nafees, Sufyan, Muhammad Saleem, Anees Arshad, Shahzad Ahmad, Muhammad Ali, Farrukh Riaz, Zeshan and others. Police had raided a place and recovered 30,000 pamphlets and 100 books of hate material.
