ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal visited martyred Col Sohail Abid’s residence Sunday. He offered condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for their patience to bear this irreparable loss. He said Col Sohail Abid sacrificed his life for the country. He said security forces have rendered unmatched sacrifices in the war against terror. The minister said sacrifices rendered by martyrs will never go in vain and nation feels proud of these martyrs. “Visited home of Shaheed Col Raja Sohail in Bara Kaho, Islamabad. I had met him recently during my visit to Quetta. He was a brave soldier of the nation, who embraced ‘Shahadat’ in an important mission against terrorists,” said interior minister in a Twitter statement. He said the courage of his father and family was exemplary. The nation salutes its martyrs. We have to maintain unity in order to defeat extremism for making our country peaceful and safe. Federal Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhry also accompanied him. They offered ‘Fateha’ on the grave of Col Sohail Abid Shaheed.
