Political worker from Chitral hopes for election ticket
PESHAWAR: Dr Yousaf Haroon, one of the ticket aspirants for constituency PK-I Chitral, hopes that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) high command will field him as candidate owing to the sacrifices of his family for the party.
Talking to reporters here, Dr Yousaf Haroon, the nephew of late Syed Ghafoor Shah, one of the founding leaders of PPP, said he had submitted his application to the party’s top leadership for the ticket to contest election on PK-1.
“My family rendered great sacrifices for the party. Late Syed Ghafoor Shah and late Zaiul Abiddin were elected as MNA and MPA in the past. We have vote bank both in Upper and Lower Chitral,” he said.He hoped that the party would award ticket to him to contest election on PK-I in recognition of the services of his family for PPP in Chitral.
