Shot at home, dies at home after a month
TOBA TEK SINGH: A girl allegedly injured and locked in a room by her brother over a marriage issue about a month ago, died in her house at Dogranwali, Kamalia, on Thursday.
According to the FIR registered by the Kamalia City police, Sobia was allegedly shot at and injured by her brother Tahir over a marriage issue about a month ago. The accused did not take Sobia to any hospital and locked her in a room where the family treated her themselves. On the day of the incident, Sobia succumbed to her injury.
Later, the family tried to bury her secretly but the people apprised the police about it. Following the information, the police raided the area and shifted the body of Sobia to the Kamalia THQ Hospital for autopsy where the doctors confirmed that she died due to a bullet wound. The police are conducting raids to arrest the accused family.
