Pleas against Nawaz sent to LHC full bench
LAHORE: Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court sent three petitions to a three-member bench filed by a woman against former PM Nawaz Sharif and his other party leaders for allegedly delivering anti-judiciary speeches which are tantamount to inciting public, treason and contempt of court.
Justice Shahid Karim took up the petitions which later sent to a three-member full bench to hear them which had been constituted to hear same nature petitions. The petitioner, Amina Malik, filed the petition through her counsel senior advocate Azhar Siddique who contended the bench that anti-judiciary speeches are being delivered to incite people, adding that is why a ban had been imposed by LHC on MQM chief in London over his speeches. The petitioner prayed the court that a ban be imposed on former PM and his political leaders’ speeches. However, the bench will hear these petitions on April 2.
