Those conspiring to eliminate us will vanish: Rana Sana

LAHORE: The Punjab's Minister Law Rana Sanaullah on Thursday said the powers, who wanted a ‘managed democracy’ in Pakistan, should know that the time of absolute civil supremacy in the true spirit of democracy has come.

He said those conspiring to make PML-N disappear from politics would vanish themselves in the due course of time, adding their efforts and their stooges would not be allowed to cultivate their dream of a managed democracy anymore, he added. Talking to media after casting his vote in the Punjab Assembly building for the Senate by-election, he said he knew exactly who was feeding Imran Khan with all the propaganda information and handinghim out the “parchis” (slips) every other day.

“These are the same forces who played up the Panama issue in a way that suited their motives, managed and catalysed the proceedings according to their wishes and then got Nawaz Sharif disqualified to unsettle the party and manipulate the Senate elections. But they will fail miserably as the PML-N will win from all the seats in the Punjab Assembly and the winners will declare themselves as PML-N candidates right after the announcement of results”, claimed the law minister.

Terming Imran as the mouthpiece of these powers, he said the rumour-mill headed by Imran feeds and funds various channels from 7 pm to 11 pm every night to sabotage the PML-N’s progress throughbaseless allegations. The provincial minister rejected the Faisal Subhan and Abid Boxer narrative, saying the PTI chief is a pathological liar and his marriages with Reham and Bushra are also questionable. “He lied about the date of marriage with Reham Khan, and now the date he has given of his wedding with Pinky is also based on lies,” he said, adding that his [latest] nikah would prove bogus just like his map [of Bani Gala estate].

Rana Sana said the candidate backed by the PML-N was a party member and would remain so even after the by-poll, adding Dr Asad Ashraf, after his success, would make the announcement about his loyalty to the party. Sana rejected the allegation that the bureaucracy is observing a strike or protesting formally after the arrest of Ahad Cheema and said, “these rumours are intentionally spread to malign the government and the civil service.”

He clarified that the bureaucrats had expressed their concerns over NAB bypassing the due procedure to insult a diligent civil servant. Such actions sent a wrong message to all the civil servants and made it virtually impossible for them to work effectively, said the PML-N senior leader.
