ISLAMABAD: Defending Champions Daily Jang and ‘The News’ maintained their perfect start in the Jang Media Cricket League 2018 by winning their matches against Nai Baat and Interflow respectively here Friday at the National Cricket Ground, says a press release.
In the other matches of the day, Star Marketing, Top City and Midas also won their respective matches.Batting first, The News piled up 117-run winning target for Interflow in the allotted six overs. Sher Muhammad blasted 58 while Rashid Khan scored 22 runs for the winning side. In reply, Interflow could only manage 64 runs.
In the second match of the day, Jang scored 128 runs while batting first against Nai Baat. Faisal top scored with 52 runs while Shahid made 48 for the winners. Nai Baat were bowled out for just 85 runs.
Meanwhile, Star Marketing beat Khabrain by 60 runs. In the process, Star Marketing scored 130 runs while Khabrain batsmen succeeded in making only 70.Top City crushed Orange by 82 runs in another match. Top City scored 149 runs in the allotted 6 overs. In reply, Orange were bundled out for just 66 runs.
Midas defeated Jehan Pakistan by 48 runs in another one-sided affair. Midas scored 117 while Jehan Pakistan made 69.The tournament is being organised by Jang Media Group in collaboration with Star Marketing, Top City, National Savings, Brighto Paints, Vertex, Gandhara City, Real Time Marketing, Redsun Associates, Pak Associate, Multiply and Airport Enclave.
