Snow Cross Jeep Rally in Swat tomorrow
MINGORA: The Swat district administration is holding Snow Cross Jeep Rally at Kalam tomorrow (February 4).
This mega event has the support and collaboration of Islamabad Jeep Club (IJC), the Pakistan Army, and Tourism Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The rally is being managed by the Swat district administration with the aim to provide a platform to the young and budding enthusiasts in the country who want to have a terrain similar to those found in the European region.
It is part of initiatives taken by the district administration to provide the domestic populace the awe inspiring secretaries and provide the taste of local delicacies in the Switzerland of the East- Swat- to the participants and spectators alike.
Well-known rally drivers of Pakistan such as , Sahibzada Sultan, Shahab Haider, Burhan Kundi Sardar Hassan along with the members of rally and off-toad clubs of the country are expected to participate in the mega event.
A spokesperson for the district administration said the snow jeep rally would be held in four categories.
The A Category would contain those 4 wheel drive vehicles having engine capacity of 3500cc and above.
The B Category would have vehicles with engine capacity in the range of 2600cc to 3500cc.
The C Category would have automobiles with engine capacity up to 2600cc.
The D Category is for the women drivers. The spokesperson said the preparation for the rally had been finalized. He said such event would be arranged periodically to encourage the youth.
The winners of each category would be awarded trophies while the participants would be given certificates at the concluding ceremony.
