Sharifs’ greed becomes national security threat, says Imran
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreeke- Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday charged that Sharifs’ greed had become a national security threat. “How long will Pakistan have to suffer the constant humiliation wrought on it by the greedy Sharif brothers dashing abroad seeking help from foreign leaders to save the wealth they plundered fromthe nation?
The Sharifs’ greed is becoming a national security threat for Pakistan,” he tweeted. Meanwhile, Imran chaired a senior party leaders meeting here to review the latest political scene and the party’s future line of action. The meeting expressed deep concern over the ‘deteriorating national economic situation’.
The forum resolved to frustrate ‘Sharifs bid to run away fromaccountabilitywith regard to their looted money and asserted that there was no option for them but to return the lootedmoney. Themeeting also deliberated upon the possible factors behind the visit of Shahbaz Sharif to Saudi Arabia followed by Nawaz Sharif.
The PTI leadership was of view that neither the United States nor Saudi Arabia would be able to rescue the Sharifs. The meeting also discussed alleged corruption and money laundering by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, dubbing him the extension of Sharifs’ corruption. “As a frontman, Dar assisted the Sharifs in financial crime and it is imperative to bring back the nation’s wealth in the possession of Dar,” the meeting emphasised and asserted that the trend of taking loans in the name of nation and then taking it away could not last anymore.
The meeting announced complete support to the APC of Pakistan Awami Tehreek. The forum also pondered over an alternative to the PMLN government’s delaying tactics on Fata’s merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
