Cold weather forecast for plain areas

LAHORE: Cold and foggy weather was observed in the city here Thursday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

Met officials said continental air is prevailing in country. They predicted that mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Dense foggy conditions are likely to prevail over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.

No rainfall was recorded in any part of the country. Thursday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Gupis and Kalam where mercury dropped down to -04°C while in Lahore, maximum temperature was 20°C, minimum was 5.4°C and humidity level was 52 percent.
