106 Waziristan families return from Afghanistan

MIRANSHAH: About 106 families belonging to North Waziristan Agency returned to Pakistan on Thursday.It was the third phase of repatriation of the displaced persons from North Waziristan Agency, who had shifted to Afghanistan after the launch of a military operation.
The returning families entered Pakistan through Angoor Ada border and were shifted to the camp for displaced persons in Bakakhel, Frontier Region (FR) Bannu.Around 12,000 families had shifted to Afghanistan after the launch of military operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants in North Waziristan.
The officials of the Fata Disaster Management Authority said that 5,000 families had already returned to their native areas in North Waziristan from Afghanistan.The officials said that steps were being taken to ensure that all the remaining families staying in Afghanistan were repatriated to their native areas.
