Islamabad: The police have found a beheaded body stuffed in gunny bag, lying in an open gutter in a street at Sector G-6/2 Saturday morning, the police said.
The body has been shifted to Polyclinic with its separated head while the police have initiated investigation to make headway to the people embroiled in the reckless killing of the young man.
Station house officer (SHO) Aabpara, Khalid Awan when contacted by this correspondent for his comments said that the residents of G-6/2 noticed a gunny bag in a manhole in street 26 and informed the police, adding that the police reached the scene and found beheaded body of a young man of about 35 years old.
He said that there were signs of inhuman torture on different parts of the body, adding the people involved in the killing, slaughtered the victim, apparently, at another place, separated his head, stuffed in the gunny bag and threw in this area.
However, this aspect could not be ruled out the incident was occurred in the area from where the body was found or anywhere closed to the locality. He said that some suspects have been rounded up for investigation.
The police officials engaged in the investigation of the case, said that hate factor was involved in the killing episode, adding that identity of the victim could clear the cause of the inhuman incident. “The victim could be hailing from other city and kidnapped to take revenge,” the officials said and added that ‘honour’ could be the cause of killing.
The Polyclinic sources told this correspondent that the victim was killed about 5 days back. The sources said that multiple deep wounds were found on the chest of the victim, adding that the sign were found on the wrists and feet showing that he was tied with ropes during torture and killing.
