Suki dam landowners’ demands sent to PM’s Secretariat

MANSEHRA: The district administration of Mansehra has dispatched 16-point demands of Suki Kanari Hydropower project affectees and landowners to Prime Minister’s Secretariat, an official said on Saturday.
“We want smooth execution of 840 megawatts power project in Kaghan valley and dispatched demands of landowners and affected people to the federal government for approval,” Iqbal Hussain, the deputy commissioner, told reporters here.
Suki Kanari Hydropower project is being built in Kaghan valley at Kunhar River under multi-billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CEPEC) and Chinese engineers and workers are present at the site with heavy machinery for the last many months.
