Licences of 199 lawyers suspended

LAHORE

The Punjab Bar Council (PbBC) has suspended practicing licences of 199 advocates for having fake or not having degrees in law.

A special scrutiny committee of the bar council took the decision after the advocates failed to submit their degrees. The committee’s head, Munir Bhatti, said the bar had resolved to free the legal fraternity from black sheep. He said seven of the suspended lawyers belonged to Lahore.
