Over 1.6m citizens benefit from police facilitation centres
More than 1.642 million citizens have availed various policing services at Khidmat Marakiz across Punjab so far this year, according to a police spokesperson.
Key services included the issuance of over 734,000 general police verifications, 405,000 police character certificates, and the registration of 187,000 tenancy records. Additionally, 81,284 medico-legal certificates were issued. As part of initiatives supporting vulnerable groups, 64,537 individuals received legal and social protection. Vehicle verification services were accessed by 20,000 citizens, while 41,782 cases of lost documents were reported.
In terms of crime-related services, 2,390 crime reports were registered, and more than 83,000 citizens obtained copies of FIRs. Additionally, 28 reports of violence against women were filed.
Furthermore, over 19,000 citizens registered under the Employees Registration (ROPE) programme, and 1,573 individuals received police verification for private employment.
