PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders have started efforts to resume negotiations with the government in a bid to get release of the party founder and former prime minister Imran Khan.
According to party sources, attempts are underway to initiate talks between PTI and the government. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar and Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif are actively involved in efforts for negotiations.
Sources said that the negotiation process between PTI and the government had previously stalled due to rising tensions between Pakistan and India.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Saif told Geo News that PTI was not currently engaged in any formal negotiations, but efforts for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan were going on.
