Sentences in £190m case: IHC wants Imran, Bushra pleas fixed next week
Counsel Latif Khosa appeared in court and prayed the court to fix case for hearing next Wednesday
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notice to the respondents on the petition of PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, seeking suspension of their sentence in 190 million pounds case and sought reply from them.
The court has directed to fix hearing of petitions related to suspension of sentence next week. The petitions filed by Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi came up for hearing before Acting Chief Justice (CJ) of IHC Justice Sarfraz Dogar and justice Muhammad Asif.
Counsel Sardar Latif Khosa and others appeared in the court and they prayed the court to fix the case for hearing next Wednesday.
The court, while seeking reply from NAB and other respondents, directed to fix hearing of the petitions next week.
It is pertinent to mention here that Accountability Court has awarded 14 years sentence to PTI founder and 7 years to Bushra Bibi.
