Adviser promises justice in Haqqani’s killing case
PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Friday said that the relevant agencies were actively working to identify and apprehend the elements behind the murder of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam — Sami chief Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani.
He was talking to a delegation comprising Maulana Rashidul Haq Haqqani, Naib Muhtamim of Darul Uloom Haqqania Akora Khattak; Maulana Yousaf Shah, general secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami and Mufti Zafar Zaman, coordinator of the Muttahida Ulema Board.
The meeting focused on issues including religious harmony, challenges faced by madrassas, the role of religious scholars in national unity, and developments in the investigation of the murder case of Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani.
Challenges faced by Darul Uloom Haqqania were also discussed in detail.Saif assured that the provincial government was taking practical and effective measures to resolve the issues faced by such religious and educational institutions so that they could continue fulfilling their educational and religious responsibilities without hindrance.
