PESHAWAR: Director General of Iranian Culture Centre Ali Yousefi has said that Iran and Pakistan have enjoyed brotherly relations from the very beginning.
Talking to reporters during his visit to Peshawar Press Club, he said that the anti-Muslim forces could not create gulf between the two nations. “The people of Iran and Pakistan have always enjoyed good ties and the centre is working to bring peoples of both the countries closer,” he added.
Enumerating the Iranian Cultural Centre achievements in literary and cultural fields, he said the centre has served as a platform to promote literature and culture. He said functions were arranged to highlight the works of great poets. He especially mentioned a recent functions on great poets Khushal Khan Khattak and Hafez of Iran.
Replying to questions, Ali Yousefi said that the war brings destruction and his country had had the bitter the experience of Iran-Iraq war. He said the people of all the neighbouring countries would suffer if there was any tension in any country of the region.
