Educational boards in Sindh get permanent chairmen after four years
The Sindh government on Thursday issued a notification for appointing the chairmen of education boards after a span of four years. Officials said the permanent chairmen were appointed in all education boards of Sindh after four years.
A notification read that with the approval of the Sindh chief minister, who is also the incharge of the provincial universities and boards department, Khalid Hussain Mahar has been appointed as the chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Larkana under the Section 14(2) of Sindh Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance 1972 for a period of three years.
He will be entitled to the basic pay and other perks as admissible to the officers of the board in BPS-20. “The appointment may be terminated at any time on one month's notice from either side or on payment of one month's pay in lieu thereof without assigning any reason,” the notification read.
The other notifications that were issued with the same pattern stated that Muhammad Misbah had been appointed as the chairman of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi, Ghulam Hussain Sahu as the chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi, Musharraf Ali Rajput appointed as the chairman of the Sindh Board of Technical Education and Professor Dr Rafique Ahmed Chandio as the chairman of the Hyderabad education board.
Likewise, Prof Dr Asif Ali Memon was appointed as the chairman of the Nawabshah education board, and Mansoor Rajput as the chairman of the Mirpurkhas education board. Officials said the above named appointees had been directed to take the charge of their posts immediately. The notification for the appointment of the Sukkur education board chairman was stopped, as the matter is sub judice and a hearing is scheduled for April 9.
