East DIG reviews crime situation in Malir
A meeting was held at the East DIG office to review the crime situation in District Malir. East Range DIG Usman Ghani Siddiqui presided over the meeting that was attended by the Malir SSP, Malir Investigation SSP, all operation and investigation DSPs, SHOs and SIOs.
The Malir SSP briefed the East DIG about the crime situation in Malir, while the Malir Investigation SSP informed him about the pending cases. The DIG instructed all the SHOs to take strict action against organised crime in their respective areas. Strict departmental action should be taken against the SHOs if organised crime continued in their jurisdiction, he said.
DIG Siddiqui also directed all the Malir SIOs to arrest the accused in the pending cases as soon as possible and take all possible steps to arrest the absconding and declared accused. All the SIOs would ensure that they submitted the challan in courts on time, he directed. DIG Siddiqui said the police would reward the officers for good performance and departmental action would be taken against them for showing poor performance.
