Naqvi set to become ACC president this month

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is set to assume the presidency of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) later this month.
According to sources, the ACC meeting is scheduled to be held in Dubai after the ICC Champions Trophy final.
Currently, the ACC is being led on an interim basis by Sri Lanka Cricket Board President Shammi Silva.
However, in the General Council meeting, the presidency will officially be handed over to the PCB, with Mohsin Naqvi taking charge.
Sources said the meeting would also decide the venues for this year’s Asia Cup, which is set to be hosted by India, with Dubai and Sri Lanka being considered as possible locations.
