The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs abroad through the Karachi airport.
According to an ANF spokesperson, a Sri Lankan national was arrested after 1.818 kilogrammes of heroin was seized from his possession during search. The suspect had skilfully concealed the drugs in his travel bag.
He was set to depart for Thailand on an international flight. A case was registered against the him under the Anti-Narcotics Act. The spokesperson said the ANF had been making extensive efforts to curb drug smuggling in Pakistan.
