Gisele Bündchen officially marries Joaquim Valente

Gisele Bündchen has married jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente.

The Brazilian supermodel, 45, and Valente were issued a marriage license on December 1 and then married on December 3.

The ceremony was held at their home in Surfside, Florida, with only close family and friends in attendance.

Sources say the wedding wasn’t a secret to friends and family. The couple intentionally kept it private from the public and the media.

Reports indicate they focused on family and meaningful moments rather than a high-profile celebration.

Despite media coverage and public records, neither Bündchen nor Valente has confirmed the marriage publicly.

The wedding comes after Bündchen and Valente welcomed a baby boy earlier this year, her third child. 

A source confirmed her pregnancy in October 2024. She also has two children, including a son, Benjamin Rein, 15, and a daughter, Vivian Lake, 12, from her previous marriage to Tom Brady. 

Bündchen and the former NFL quarterback finalised their divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.

Bündchen began dating Valente in mid-2023, though the two were first seen together in late 2022 during a trip to Costa Rica with her children. 

She initially denied a romantic relationship and insisted they were just friends until it grew into love.

Sources say Valente has been a steady support for Bündchen after her divorce, describing their relationship as natural and supportive. Both are Brazilian expats who value wellness, privacy, and family, and Bündchen is reportedly “happy and in a great space.”
